SUMMARY:Documentary Film Screening | 10 Good Men
DESCRIPTION:The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force will host the Savannah premiere of the documentary 10 Good Men on Saturday\, July 25\, at 10:00 a.m. Following the screening\, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a special question-and-answer session with film director\, Trent "TJ" Jones. \nAdmission is $8 and can be purchased at the door or online at https://www.10goodmen.com/event-details/savannah-ga-the-national-museum-of-mighty-eighth-airforce \nAbout the Documentary 10 Good Men is a 90-minute documentary preserving the firsthand accounts of ten of the last WWII veterans who flew the B-17 Flying Fortress over Europe the equivalent of one full B-17 crew. Pilots\, navigators\, bombardiers\, and gunners speak candidly about their missions\, their training\, and their survival. Some were shot down and captured\; others completed dozens of sorties. Structured chronologically from 1942 to 1945\, the film traces the full arc of the Allied air campaign: the early daylight raids met with catastrophic losses\, the arrival of long-range fighter escorts\, the evolution of German flak and fighter strategies\, and the final push that helped end the war. Their testimonies are supported by restored archival footage from NARA\, the Imperial War Museum\, and the Bundesarchiv. Several of the men featured have since passed\, making this one of the last records of its kind \nAbout the Director Trent "TJ" Jones is a documentary filmmaker and military historian based in Georgia and founder of TJ3 Productions and a popular YouTuber on his channel "TJ3 History". 10 Good Men is the result of three years of interviews with B-17 airmen across the country and is co-produced with Skytrain Media.
